Jury selection is under way at a court in Las Vegas, Nevada, in the trial of former US football star OJ Simpson.

Mr Simpson was arrested last September for allegedly robbing at gunpoint two sports memorabilia dealers in a hotel.

He faces 12 charges including assault with a deadly weapon, kidnapping and burglary. If found guilty he could face life in prison.

Mr Simpson, 61, and his co-defendant, Clarence Stewart, 54, have pleaded not guilty to all charges.

Mr Simpson's legal team has said he was trying to retrieve stolen memorabilia that belonged to him from a Las Vegas hotel and has denied that any guns were involved.

Almost half of all schoolchildren cannot name a single mental health condition, a study of 500 young people has found.

And fewer than half of those surveyed felt that schools provided enough information about mental health, a third preferred to trust the internet.

Great Ormond Street Hospital conducted the poll. It is launching its own child mental health information website.

A spokesman said the results were "worrying and surprising".

Oil prices rose on Monday on fears that Hurricane Ike would disrupt oil production in the Gulf of Mexico.

US light, sweet crude climbed $1.41 to $107.64, and London Brent crude gained $1.19 to $105.28 in early trading.

Prices also rebounded on hopes that the US government's rescue of mortgage firms Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae would prevent a further economic slide.

Traders are also awaiting a decision on production from the oil producers cartel Opec.

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- When you see people at the office using such Internet sites as Facebook and MySpace, you might suspect those workers are slacking off.

A social-networking site for the world of spying officially launches for the U.S. intelligence community this month.

But that's not the case at the CIA, the FBI and the National Security Agency, where bosses are encouraging their staff members to use a new social-networking site designed for the super-secret world of spying.

Avoid these common mistakes and keep your four-legged friend happy, healthy, and well-behaved

1. Buying a Pet Spontaneously

Why This Is a Mistake: That doggie in the window may be darling, but he might not be the right fit for your family or lifestyle. And a mismatch could lead to frustration and heartbreak.

2. Skipping Obedience Training

Why This Is a Mistake: Bad habits, which often develop quickly, can be difficult to train out of a pet. So unless you have the know-how to school an animal, you need the help of a professional.

Opposition groups in the Indian state of West Bengal who have been blocking construction work at a Tata Motors plant have suspended their protests.

The move came after the state government promised to return some seized land at the plant site.

Tata Motors stopped work last week on the plant where it plans to build the Nano, the world's cheapest car.

However the firm said that it was still reviewing the deal and work at the site was still suspended.

A Tata spokesperson said the company is "distressed at the limited clarity on the outcome of the discussions between the State Government of West Bengal and the representatives of the agitators in Singur".
